Welcome to SiteSmith Mail

SiteSmith Mail is the email app in SiteSmith Workspace. It opens your mailboxes in the browser: addresses on your own domain if you host a site with SiteSmith, and accounts you already have with Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL or another provider. Your calendar, chat and meetings sit beside it, so you can check your day or answer a teammate without switching apps.

This course follows Alex Morgan, who owns Harbor & Pine Coffee, through a normal week of email: wholesale orders, supplier invoices, catering requests and staff schedules. The screens are the real app with made-up data.

Around the screen

SiteSmith Mail with folders on the left, the message list, an empty reading pane and the calendar side panel on the right
  • Mail, Contacts and Calendar at the top left switch between your inbox, your address book and a full calendar.
  • Compose starts a new email. You can also press c.
  • The address under Compose is the mailbox you're in. Click it to switch mailboxes or add one.
  • Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Archive, Spam and Trash come first, then your own folders under Folders.
  • The message list has All, Unread, Starred and Attachments filters along the top.
  • The open message shows in the reading pane, with a reply box at the bottom.
  • The side panel on the right holds Calendar, Meet and Chat.
  • Mail merge, Shortcuts and Settings are at the bottom left.

New mail appears as it arrives. You don't need to refresh.

What's free and what's paid

Everyday email is free: as many mailboxes as you need, folders, conversations, search, rules, signatures, send later, undo send, contacts and keyboard shortcuts.

Workspace+ is a paid upgrade for each person. In Mail it adds AI writing and summaries, read receipts, snooze, follow-up reminders and templates (plus a booking page in Calendar). Workspace Pro includes all of Workspace+ and adds mail merge from a sheet. In Mail, buttons for paid tools carry a small crown; clicking one explains the upgrade. For prices, see the plan page: Settings, then Workspace+, then See Workspace+ and Pro.
